We use number lines in education to help students learn many different concepts. Early in a students education they are used to help students gain number sense by teaching the relationship between numbers. In later grade levels number lines are used to teach students fractions, decimals, and basic math operations. This free customizable and printable worksheet is designed to give you free-range of how students will use the blank number lines to learn. Some options include identifying integers, fractions, and decimals on the lines, performing basic addition and subtraction using a number line, and working with negative numbers.

The blank number line worksheet maker will create up to 12 number lines each page that are customized to your specifications. The lines can contain 10, 15, 20, or 30 major divisions. The optional labels on the number lines can start as low as -15 for working with negative numbers and go up to 30. Labels can occur only at zero, every 5 lines, or only at integers. Fraction lines for one-half, one-third, one-fourth and one-fifth divisions are optional. After you have finished customizing the blank number lines, it can be printed or downloaded as a PDF in US Letter or A4 paper sizes.
